SNM Melbourne welcomed Mr. Nick Wakeling MP – State Member
for Ferntree Gully (Bhawan’s electorate) who represented Hon Ted Baillieu – Leader of Liberal Nationals Coalition alongwith Mr. Nitin Gupta – Special Director, South Asian Community Affairs at a special event honouring our volunteers with certificates by Aus Red Cross Blood Service appreciating the 16th Blood Drive organised by the mission. Mr. Nick appreciated Sunny Duggal Ji – Sewadal Sanchalak for the large strength of participation and extended voluntary services performed by sewadal during events such as Cleanup Day, Blood Donations, Community Funding Appeals and other major welfare events. He also encouraged the members to continue their selfless services at these major events showing their support for all the charitable works. Melbourne saints extend a heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ted and Mr. Nick who acknowledged the services of the mission and announced to grant a sum of $150,000 to fund SNM Melbourne's charitable work and contribution towards uplifting Australian community. Mr. Nick was presented with a trophy by D K Tuli Ji – Committee Member, SNM Melbourne on behalf of all saints. Mr. Nick agreeably conveyed his support and appreciated volunteers’ charitable work all year along throughout Victoria. Blood donation is one of SNM Melbourne’s activities that have received a lot of esteem from the local government organisations. Mr David Macdermott - ARCBS, Mt Waverley applauded to the abiding loyalty of the saints who actively participate in donating blood and plasma in this drive and always. All saints were awarded with certificates and a special appreciation certificate was presented to mission which was humbly accepted by Indar Jit Ji - Incharge, SNM Melbourne on behalf of all members. |
