Guru Puja Diwas 2013 at its Rowville premises celebrating the birthday
of mission�s present head �His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji�
On this special day for all Nirankaris,
HON. NICHOLAS KOTSIRAS
(Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship � Victoria)
inaugurated the new Community Kitchen which was part of the $150,000
grant offered to the mission
by the Victorian State Government to develop existing Driveway and
Kitchen facilities.
Mr Nick Wakeling
(MP & Parliament Secretary for Health � Victoria)
was really excited by the complete project as he�s been involved
in this grant announcement from the beginning.
Mr Raj Kumar
(Consul General of India, Melbourne � Acting)
congratulated the efforts of all volunteers and their support
towards local community welfare.
Cr Joe Cossari & Cr Darren Pearce (Knox City Council),
Marta Marot (Chairperson, Multicultural Harmony Festival) and
SNM Australia Executive Committee embraced mission�s
contributions towards
community welfare activities especially Blood Donations and Clean Up
drives.
Dr Ali Khan (CEO, Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation),
Gwenda Rait (Vice Chairperson, Knox Interfaith),
Vasan Srinivasan (President, FIAV)
Michael Migliaccio (Marketing, Multicultural Harmony Festival)
Teresa Koronczewski (Treasurer, Multicultural Harmony Festival),
Zygmunt Bielinski (President, Eastern District Polish Assoc),
Dr Manjula O�Connor (Founder, Australasian Centre for Human
Rights & Health),
David Gilbert (Editor, Rowville Lysterfield Newspaper),
Raj Dudeja (Editor, Indian Voice Newspaper)
and many more made this event a real success with their participation
and support.
Driveway project works started and completed in mid-2012 and then
Kitchen works
started towards the end of 2012 and completed in February 2013.
Kitchen would be a real example to reflect the efforts and hard work
of the volunteers
of the mission how the government funds can be utilised to the best of
its use.
This level of project would cost more than double of its cost
without the in-house participation in all facets of the project works.
SNMM awarded trophies to these Volunteers� families to honour their
selfless services and also recognised the Builder (Mr Ibraim) & Project
Manager (Mr Kerry).
This is one of the main annual events of the mission and it�s
dedicated to the volunteers.
Various performances plus activities involving Youth, Women and Kids
were organised on this day
by local members. All the members celebrated this great local community
achievement.
