USA, Los Angeles: April 07-08, 2018

Her Holiness Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj was on salvation tour of USA, Mexico, Canada and UK from April 1 to May 3, 2018. Following is a brief report covering the various congregations and Samagam addressed by Her Holiness.

As spring blossomed in the city of Los Angeles, USA residents were showered with fresh fragrance of blessings as the Sant Nirankari Mission center here had the esteemed honour of welcoming Her Holiness Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj at its Headquarters in Norwalk on April 7-8, 2018.

This was a momentous occasion for the all-embracing spiritual movement. It was the first time Her Holiness Mata Ji graced this location after taking the helm of the Nirankari Mission as Satguru, or the True Master, in May 2016. Her Holiness served tirelessly walking side by side with her late husband, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj for more than decades. She has been a champion for women, children, the underprivileged and the underserved. Under her guidance, the Sant Nirankari Mission continues to grow exponentially by spreading its essential message of God-realization. In addition, the Mission focuses on living the principles of oneness, humanness, love, tolerance and humility.

Her Holiness arrived at the Mission's LA headquarters on Saturday, April 7 in the evening, and received a red- carpet reception lined by smiling faces of children and youth who presented her with flowers upon her arrival and greeted her with loving affection. Several hundred disciples were gathered to welcome her with song and fanfare, and their excitement was brimming as they ushered in their Satguru.

The welcome was followed by an entrancing Musical Programme at 6 pm. Devotional songs and poetry that echoed the teachings of the Mission and the importance of God-knowledge were shared and enjoyed by all.

The main event, the congregation took place on Sunday April 8, and was themed around Devotion. There were more than 650 attendees from 16 States in the US and from 4 countries around the world, and teachings of the Mission were shared in 5 different languages. Their unified message revolved around being an exemplary devotee, living the teachings of Holy Master, and making a lasting connection with God.

The Sant Nirankari Mission continues to be one of the largest blood donor organizations in the world. In the spirit of ‘giving for life’, an open blood donation drive was held concurrently during the main event. All attendees were given the opportunity to contribute to this drive. SNM Los Angeles was acknowledged for an astounding 400 pints of blood donated over past some time. In recognition of the efforts of the Mission, a certificate was awarded by Lifestream to the Mission for its outstanding efforts in this area. A token of gratitude was also presented by the Bone Marrow Drive organization for all the contributions it received as well.

On both days, the events were concluded with much anticipated discourse by Her Holiness. First and foremost, she stressed on the importance of practicing teachings of the Mission in order to beautify the world we live in. More than words, it is behavior that impacts society. In addition, she spoke strongly about the destructive nature of ego. She reminded devotees that regardless of caste, creed or colour, the end is the same for all. Even materialism is temporary and does not follow one in death.

Her Holiness stated, “The only legacy that we leave behind is how we behaved with each and every human being. What was our contribution to humanity? Let us ask ourselves if we were the ones to break hearts or the ones to mend broken hearts. Are we the ones to ignite fires or the ones to extinguish the same? Our destiny totally depends on us. God has given us a beautiful world to live in. There is no reason to make it miserable with our negativities, and not only for ourselves, but for others too. We must learn to have a positive approach to everything and to submit to the will of God.

As always, her powerful words were a call for the awakening of mankind. For a few divine moments, she compelled attendees to rise above the daily grind of materialism and realize that human life has a far greater goal of spiritual realization. In the process, the elusive goal of world peace and harmony becomes an attainable reality for all.

As Her Holiness departed, she left hundreds of attendees with priceless memories, blessings, and rejuvenated vigour to change themselves for the better. The Sant Nirankari Mission continues to play an active role in the community. Congregations are held weekly on Sundays at its headquarters in Norwalk from 11:00am to 1:00 pm, and are open to all irrespective of race or religion. Hindi classes and Spiritual classes for children, and Youth are held every Sunday morning. The Mission also actively participates in charitable activities such as blood donation drives, food and toy drives, fund-raising walks and many others.
