Satsang Programme in the Divine Presence of
Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj

Delhi: November 5, 2017

Like any other Sunday congregation in Delhi since October 8, 2017, the Satsang Programme on November 5 was also held in Samagam Ground No.2. Thousands of devotees from the Capital and several other parts of the country were present. Addressing the devotees, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj said:

“Probably I gave the example of stain glass earlier also. It is a beautiful glass, but its beauty can be seen only in the light of the Sun from outside in full. In the case of light, it looks beautiful not only from outside, we can also see its inner detailing and their reflections in the room. But as the light gets reduced, all its detailing and reflections disappear. While the room is the same, stain glass too is the same, but its beauty is gone because the light is gone.

Saints, let’s look at our faith and devotion. Are they also guided by circumstances like the stain glass? Do we have faith and devotion if the circumstances are favourable and not otherwise? Saints, such devotion is devotion of convenience only. Saints, faith is the name of that bird which takes even darkness as light and finds its way. As I read somewhere - Faith is like a bird that feels the light and sings even at dusk.

Saints, Baba Ji also taught us in his discourses that circumstances never remain the same. Ups and downs come in everybody’s life. Saints, however, never allow their devotion to get shaken. They always give preference to God. As you heard the example just now, a tree with strong roots is never afraid of storms. Similarly, when a train passes through a tunnel, it is completely dark. The passengers, however, don’t feel afraid. They do not throw their tickets and jump out of the train, because they know that as soon as the tunnel is over, there shall be the light again.

We often see a tiny glow-worm. Where there is glow-worm, there is light. Even if small in size, the glow-worm has its own light. But when they get together in large number, they shed a lot of light. Similarly, a single saint enjoys the light of God-knowledge himself and may enlighten another, but when they all come together, they are able to enlighten the whole world. May we all together be able to bring this divine light, the light of God-knowledge in everybody’s life. This is my prayer!”

Earlier, addressing the congregation, Rev. M.C. Nagpal Ji, Sanyojak, Gurugram said remembrance of God (Sumiran) relieves us from tension and brings comfort and happiness. We are, however, able to connect with God by the grace of Satguru. Satguru also gives us the company of saints (Satsang) where we learn to live in the light of God-knowledge. We should, therefore, always be grateful to Satguru. Let us pray that Satguru Mata Ji continues to give us shelter at her holy feet.

Rev Niranjan Singh Ji from Sant Nirankari Colony, Delhi narrated his own story how he received God-knowledge and felt the change. He said that God-knowledge is the greatest and perfect gift from Satguru. Now, we have to hold it and take advantage by following what Satguru says. He said that Satsang, Sewa and Sumiran make our life blissful and help us to move forward.

Rev A.S. Chowdhry Ji, Sector Incharge, Faridabad told some stories including his own from Mussoorie to say that Sewa brings instant relief and happiness. Our Sewa should, however, be selfless, free from ego. He prayed to Satguru Mata Ji that as desired by Her Holiness, we may be able to make our guests, the devotees coming for Samagam, as comfortable as possible. Let them face no inconvenience whatsoever.

Rev Bhupender Singh Ji from New Zealand also said that we should always be grateful to Satguru who blessed us with God-knowledge and elevated our status from ordinary people to Mahapurushas. He quoted Avtar Bani and said that there is no difference between God and the True Master. We should, therefore, always remain submitted to Satguru with full sense of faith and trust.
