Satsang Programme in the Divine Presence of
Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj

Delhi: December 04, 2016

On Sunday, December 4, 2016, the congregation in Delhi was organized in the benign presence of Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj in Samagam Ground No. 8. Thousands of devotees from Delhi and surrounding areas participated. Several saints from abroad who came for the 69th Annual Sant Samagam were also present. Blessing the devotees, Her Holiness said:

“Saints, a few days back I came across a line which said - We may need to lose everything to find God is all that we need. On this, at once I thought of what Baba Ji taught us. He always said that whatever worldly wealth or objects God has given us, they are only to keep our daily life going. We have not to get attached with them. We have always to give the first priority to God only.

We have heard the example of Alexander many times. When he left this world, he was empty-handed, even though he had conquered the whole world. On the other side, when Kabir Ji left he was rich with the wealth of God-knowledge. He had no worldly wealth. And till today we remember him, take his name with utmost reverence, faith and respect.

Saints, we often heard Rajmata Ji also praying for every joy of the world as also the company of saints. She taught us that comforts of the world are worthwhile only when at the same time we remember God, seek the company of saints and do selfless service unto others.

Saints, let us pray to God so that we are completely free from ego and only God dwells within. Again I am reminded of a line that says - Empty me of me so that I may be filled just with you.”

Earlier, addressing the congregation, Shri Gobind Singh Ji, Member of Executive Committee, Sant Nirankari Mandal, USA said that like Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj in the past, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj also wants to bring back the Mission of Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji’s times. Once, at the age of about 19, I got a chance to drive Shahenshah Ji up to Paharganj and back. While I was scared of any question from him, he kept on repeating Sumiran only. It was enough for me to learn the value of continued Sumiran in my life.

Narrating another story, Shri Gobind Singh Ji referred to the Samagam held in Saharanpur in 1960. Here, after the congregation two persons approached Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji for Brahm Gyan and they insisted that only Baba Ji should reveal God to them. When Baba Ji obliged them, one of them was fully satisfied, while the other wanted to know whether there is anything beyond Nirankar also. Baba Ji replied in negative. But the person insisted that there must be something beyond Nirankar also. At this, Baba Ji replied that it’s only your ego, because where there is ego, there is no Nirankar.

Shri Gobind Singh Ji prayed to Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj to bless us all so that we can accept and adopt each and every word coming from Her Holiness.

Shri Kirpa Sagar Ji, Member Incharge, Press and Publicity, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Delhi recalled that while concluding the 69th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj called upon the devotees to go back and establish the same township of love in the world which they established in the grounds during three days of the Samgam. He said that no doubt this task is gigantic but not impossible to accomplish. No doubt there are still some parts of India and lot many countries of the world where the Mission has still to mark its presence. Our task, however, is easy because the philosophy of the Mission and its approach to our social and cultural life does not come into conflict with any religion of the world. In fact, it finds conformation with the teachings of all saints, Gurus and prophets and holy scriptures. Moreover, we do not seek to change religious faith, mode of worship and rituals of others. Our only appeal is that everybody should know the God he or she worships.

Shri Shyam Sunder Mutreja Ji from Paschim Vihar, Delhi said that total submission is an essential part of devotion. Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji used to say that it should start from the family. Both elders and youngsters should agree with each other without any hesitation. Baba Ji also used to advise us against slandering, saying that criticism of others brings criticism to self.

Shri Mutreja said that Shahenshah Ji always said that the one who received Brahm Gyan attained the highest status in the world. Like a son of the Almighty Nirankar whatever he asks for, God does give him. In case, a devotee feels that his own prayer is not being answered, let him request any devotee or Sewadar to pray on his behalf, God will definitely oblige him.

Shri Mutreja said that Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj is the spiritual guide of the time. Let us all obey her with the sense of complete submission.

Dr. Sharan Khanna from Sant Nirankari Colony, Delhi recalled a story from the life of Prof. J.S. Puri from Chicago and said that our faith in Satguru will be incomplete without a sense of fear. In fact, we shall be the worst loosers the day we remove the fear of Satguru from our mind. Fear means that we are ready to surrender and obey Satguru in word and spirit.

Dr. Sharan also quoted Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and said that even a thought to harm someone brings harm to ourselves. It is not that only bad deeds are rewarded with bad consequences, even a bad thought is equally liable to bring loss.

A young saint from Spain, Ekta said that we are fortunate to have been blessed with God-knowledge by Satguru. It is the same divine light for which numerous saints like Baba Farid Ji made all kinds of sacrifices and tortured their bodies.

Referring to the change that Satguru is bringing in our thought, speech and action through Brahm Gyan, Ekta narrated a story of painting competition among children. One of them showed a rat donating blood for the cat. The child explained that here in Bal Sangat we are taught to act for the welfare of even those who criticise or harm us.
