Satsang Programme in the Divine Presence of

Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj

Delhi: October 16, 2016

Immediately after the Sewadal programme, the regular Sunday congregation started. Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj remained seated while devotees began to pay their obeisance. At the same time speakers, poets and singers expressed their feelings which mainly centred around the importance of selfless service in the domain of devotion.

At the end of the programme, Nirankari Studio team screened an abridged version of the holy discourse by Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj on this occasion last year i.e., on October 11, 2015. This was treated as the holy discourse of the day. Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, therefore, did not bless the congregation after the video presentation was over.

In the abridged version of the holy discourse, Baba Ji said:

“Saints, you are all present here expressing your good wishes and praying for the success of every devotee, Sewadar and Prabandhak (organizer) who are making their contribution for the coming Sant Samagam. No doubt, some Sewa has already been going on in these grounds since some days, but this has formally started today. Some Committees have already been set up, who will carry out their responsibilities in their respective fields during the coming days.

Devotees from Delhi get this opportunity for voluntary service every year. Organizers have already informed the devotees in various areas about the day they have to come for Sewa every week. In fact, they wait for the Samagam for the whole year so that they get this opportunity for Sewa. Such opportunities are not available every day, they are very rare. Hence, devotees are always ready to take advantage of any such opportunity.

As a matter of fact, this kind of enthusiasm for Sewa as well as Satsang is their due to our devotion to God. Hued in the colour of devotion of this Almighty, devotees express their devotion through these means. They surrender to God and express their gratitude to Him for having given such opportunities for Sewa. In this way, devotees – both men as well as women, are constantly doing Sewa. As mentioned quite often, it is because of the kind benevolence of Rajmata Ji that women get these opportunities for selfless service. No doubt, the number of the followers of the Mission being limited during those days men were sufficient to serve them, but women too got the opportunities due to Rajmata Ji’s initiative. And today you can see them fulfilling their responsibilities with equal enthusiasm not only in the field of Sewa, but Prachar and Prabandh also.

In this way, certain lines have been laid by Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji, Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and Rajmata Ji. Let us go on following the same. There have been many devotees who rendered their services silently, whose names were never known or announced, but they made commendable contribution. They worked so selflessly that even today we bow to them. Our devotion, Sewa or Satsang gain importance only when carried out selflessly. In fact when we remember God with love, it takes us towards Sewa and Satsang and we feel grateful to Him for everything we are blessed with.

In this way, many such examples were established in the past and today also we have instances where devotees are making significant contribution with the spirit of selflessness, humility and with no sense of doership. They too express their gratitude to the Almighty for giving them such opportunities. Today, you are also present here with similar feelings while Sewa for the coming Samagam has started. May God bless everybody with ability to serve with body, mind and material and thus earn this real wealth. May God also bless all with ability and strength to fulfil their worldly responsibilities towards their families and the society. And at the same time, may every devotee continue to have this enthusiasm for selfless Sewa.”
