Salvation Tour by Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj

States of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from March 13 to 18, 2016

Muzaffar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh: March 13, 2016

Following a brief visit to Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir and spending almost a month in Delhi, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj set on a week’s Salvation Tour of some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He left Delhi on Sunday, March 13 and arrived Muzaffarnagar in UP, where a huge congregation was organized in the evening the same day. Thousands of devotees from Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas attended the congregation which appeared to be no less than a Samagam. Addressing the gathering, His Holiness said:

“Saints, Gurus and prophets appeared in every age and spread the message of Truth for the welfare of people during their times. They wanted everybody to unite with God and make life happy here and hereafter. And in every age there were people who listened to them, understood their message and followed the same in life, while there were others who did not pay heed to their voice of Truth.

In this way both the categories of people have existed simultaneously in every age like light and darkness, coolness and heat. If there were those who adopted devotion, there were also those who lived with ego, arrogance and narrow-mindedness and spoiled the whole atmosphere.

Saints live as per the will of God which is the best path of life. They do not create walls to divide people, but endeavour to dismantle the same wherever they exist. They do not discriminate between Ram and Rahim. They rise above all considerations of casts, creed and colour, region and the nation and strengthen the feelings of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which means all human beings living on earth are members of a single family. To them, the first lesson in the book of religion teaches that the entire mankind is the family of God - Supreme Father.

Those who understand this, lead their life accordingly, treating every fellow human being as a part of their own family. Saints believe in equi-vision where no one is a stranger. They are always ready to serve humanity. Many people, however, did not follow the path shown and adopted by saints. That is why man has been stumbling and wandering till today.

To saints, religion does not mean mere rituals. As said by Tulsidas Ji, compassion is the base of religion and ego that of sin. True religion is, therefore, identified with love and compassion. What kind of religious people are those who fight or indulge in riots in the name of religion? Obviously, they are ignorant about Truth. They lead their life in the darkness of ignorance.

Saints awaken man from the slumber of ignorance at every step and call for adopting human values. Let everybody distribute love, provide smile to the weeping and raise the fallen. This is the real way of life and means to reach the destination. God has been extra-kind to humans and given the power to think and understand which He did not grant to other species. No doubt, some of them excel in their own way, but only man has been given the highest status.

Human life has been equated with diamond and it is up to man to value the same or waste it like shells. Certainly, it shows his lack of prudence if he does not value it. Saints have always thought and acted for the welfare of humanity. Even today they are not only removing the pollution of ego, hatred, lust and greed from the mind but from the environment outside also. While people are generally selfish and narrow-minded devotees here are making a massive contribution in ‘Swachh Rail and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. While we see the country being wakened all around, saints are endeavoring to strengthen its unity and integrity.”

The congregation was attended by several dignitaries including the local MLA Shri Kapil Dev Aggarwal. While Shri Kulbhushan Chaudhary, Additional Zonal Incharge welcomed Baba Ji, Shri Harish Kumar, Sanyojak thanked His Holiness, guests and the participants.

On March 14, devotees in Muzaffarnagar got an opportunity to pay their obeisance at the holy feet of the Lord Master.

On March 14, while proceeding from Muzaffarnagar to Mussoorie, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj inaugurated newly built Satsang Bhawan at Gurukul Narsan in Haridwar district. Blessing the devotees, Baba Ji said;

“Devotion to God becomes steadfast only when this mind remains linked with Him. Devotees, therefore, keep concentrated on the Almighty God even while carrying out their domestic and social responsibilities. They take every step of their life in the light of God-knowledge. They never turn their back towards God. So, they seek the company of saints and do not get entangled in worldly affairs. This new Satsang Bhawan will enable the devotees of this area to hold congregations regularly.”

Thereafter, Baba Ji inaugurated the new building of Satsang Bhawan in Roorki. Blessing the devotees, he said, “Devotees always move on the path of devotion with full enthusiasm towards selfless service of others. They live in the light of God-knowledge which lends sweetness to their behaviour. They remain hued in the colour of the Almighty. They love and respect each other, which is the need of the time.”

His Holiness and the entourage arrived Mussoorie quite late in the evening. Even then he was warmly welcomed by a large number of devotees led by Shri Harbhajan Singh Ji, Zonal Incharge.
